District Hunting License (anugya Patra)

(1) The district hunting
license may be issued only to the Nepalese citizen by taking the fees as
prescribed in Schedule -1. The district forest office may issue such
license making validation for ten days and the person receiving such
license shall be allowed to hunt the following maximum number of
wildlife and birds in the prescribed area, not exceeding the maximum
number as in the case of the wildlife up to three and in the case of the
birds up to ten in total.

(1) Mammals :
(a) Barking Deer (Red deer) 1
(b) Spotted Deer (Chittal) 1
(c) Wild Boar (Banel) 2
(d) Hispid Hare (Chaughada) 3
(2) Birds :
(a) Peacock (Mujoor) 1
(b) Cheer Pheasant (Kalij) 3
(c) Jungle Fowl (Luiche) 5
(d) Partridge, Red-legged Partridge (Titra, Chyakhura) 10
(e) Water Duck (Pani Hans) 10

Amended by the Third Amendment.
Provided that,
No more than three birds shall be allowed to hunt in a day.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in Sub-rule (1), the
district hunting license shall not be provided to a person no more than
once in a year and the validity of that license shall not be extended
whether the hunting has been operated within its time period or not.
